1. Those who have passed Chartered Accountancy Final Examination from ICAN can apply for CA membership with the application form as on Annexure 21 and along with fees of Rs 5200/-( Registration Fee Rs. 3000/- and yearly membership fees of Rs.2200/-) as prescribed in Annexure 4. (R 40)
2. Those who have passed Chartered Accountancy Final Examination from ICAI and other foreign Institutions can apply for the CA Membership Examination with the application form as prescribed on Annexure 22 (Form Rs. 100/- and Examination fee of Rs.2000/- per paper.
3. Those who have passed Chartered Accountancy Final Examination from foreign Institution other than ICAI, in such case Institute will review the syllabus and the applicant shall inform about the subjects h/she will appear at least 2 months before the conduction of examinations.
4. Those who have not completed the said 3 years of Articleship should complete the prescribed period of Articleship before filling up the form.
5. Those who have passed Chartered Accountant membership Examination of ICAN can apply for CA membership with  the prescribed Annexure 21 along with the prescribed fee of Rs. 5,200/- 

Documents to be submitted along with the application

Along with application form the following documents should be submitted in order and with duly attested by Chartered Accountant member of ICAN or ICAN officers Government officers.

a)CA Final Certificate and Mark sheet 

b)CA Intermediate Certificate and Marksheet

c) Certificate and Marksheet of Academic qualification

d) CA Foundation Certificate and Marksheet

e) Academic Certificate and Marksheet

f) Articleship Completion Certificate

g) Membership Certificate

h) Certificate of Practice

i) GMCS Certificate

j) Citizenship Certificate

h) PP Size photographs- 3 Copies

k) Recent C.V.

       6. After comprehensive inspection, the council shall decide on the application filed in accordance with rule 40 or 43 within 30 days of its submission. 

       7.  While going through subject to the provision of sub-rule (1), if realized essential the ICAN may demand details and documentary evidences from the applicant and it shall be the duty of the applicant to submit concerned details and documentary evidences if called for.

       8. After receiving all the required and complete documents and if the applicants has fulfilled the criteria to appear for the examination then the member department will send a memo to the Examination Department if not then the member department shall forward the application to the Executive Committee.  

       9. After approval form the Executive Committee to grant membership a memo shall be forwarded as per annexure 25 to the Executive Director for approval to prepare the Chartered Accountant membership Certificate.

      10. A photocopy of such certificates shall be kept in each member’s individual file.

      11. The record shall be maintained in the Member Registration File.

Relating to Fellow Chartered Accountants Membership (FCA)

a) Chartered Accountant members engaged in the accounting profession for at least five years can apply for Fellow Chartered Accountant membership with the application form as on annexure 23 along with the prescribed fee of Rs 1500/-.  

b) The date in which membership is issued form the Office of the Auditor General shall also be taken into consideration. 

c) Necessary Documents

i.   CA membership and COP Certificate and proven documents of five years of audit practice

ii.  PP Size photographs – 3 copies

iii. Those who have taken CA Membership Certificate but not COP Certificate and who are employed shall have to  submit the proof of the employee record

Note:

a. For Example if “A” is holding a Chartered Accountant Membership Certificate since 2056 Ashad, and is employed but without Certificate of Practice and in 2060 Ashad if he receives the Certificate of Practice, in such case the following  time period is taken into consideration for granting Fellow Chartered Accountant Membership Certificate.
