Notice regarding Eligibility Test (Pretest) This is to notify all concerned that the Eligibility Test (Pretest) scheme for the students registered from December 1, 2007 onwards will be conducted as given hereunder: 1. For the purpose of Pretest, there will be three test papers for each subject. Each test paper shall carry 100 marks to be attempted within 3 hours. 2. The coverage of the test papers will be based on the following general rule: Test Paper I First half of the prescribed syllabus Test Paper II Second half of the prescribed syllabus Test Paper III Whole syllabus However, in case the Institute issues any specification regarding the division of chapters among test papers, such specification shall override the above rule. 3. While Test Papers I & II will be evaluated through Hall Test Scheme, Test Paper III will be evaluated through Postal Test Scheme. 4. Each must pass at least two test papers (either I & II or I & III or II & III) of each subject to get the Eligibility Certificate (EC) for concerned group. 5. To be eligible for appearing in June Examination, one must get the EC on the basis of tests appeared on or before January-end and to be eligible for appearing in December examination on the basis of tests appeared on or before July-end. 6. Final Level (CAP-III) students are required to pass only one test paper, covering the whole syllabus, of each subject to be eligible for the examinations.
